What People Are Saying

This is a really nice park for dogs the only thing that I can complain about is the homeless people camp on the outside of the fence and the city doesn't clean up after the homeless and there's a lot of debris from dead trees everywhere but other than that I have a good time every time I take my dog there
I absolutely love this dog park. It has a couple fenced in spots for different size dogs but it isn't heavily enforced so small dogs can still play with well behaved big dogs
Nice dog park. Server area for small or big dog. Usually, there is also water available for tapping in good weather

About Green Springs Dog Park

Green Springs Dog Park in Birmingham offers a decent space for pups to run around and socialize, featuring separate fenced areas for small and large dog breeds. On a sunny day, you can usually find water available for your dog to hydrate after a good play session. The park’s shade makes it a comfortable spot, but some reviewers have mentioned the need for a bit more upkeep.

While the park generally provides a fun experience, some concerns have been raised about cleanliness and safety, particularly regarding debris left from dead trees and the presence of a nearby homeless camp. Many visitors feel the city could do a better job maintaining the area, as litter and uncollected waste have been noted as issues, detracting from an otherwise enjoyable outing with your dog.

Navigating to the entrance can be a challenge, with some paths leading to locked gates and overgrown bushes. Despite these drawbacks, loyal regulars appreciate the friendly atmosphere and the flexibility of allowing small dogs to interact with larger ones. It’s a solid choice for a casual dog day out, as long as you’re prepared for the occasional hiccup in maintenance.
