What People Are Saying

Pretty much a large gravel field. Not much. But it's clean, not muddy, and there's plenty of space to sit. A good park for the winter months when everywhere else is mud city
Nice park with 2 gravel dog areas. And waste bags available around the park. Be careful running your high energy dogs, the gravel can cause burns on the paw pads
Lots of folks don't clean up after there dogs. Aside from that good place to run dogs. The adjacent park is great for walks and kids

About Markley Creek Dog Park

Markley Creek Dog Park in Antioch offers an expansive, clean space where pups can play to their hearts’ content. The park features two large gravel areas, making it ideal for high-energy dogs, but keep in mind the gravel can be tough on sensitive paws. For winter months, when other parks turn muddy, this spot remains well-drained and enjoyable for both dogs and their owners.

Visitors appreciate the ample room to sit and relax while their pets frolic, and there are plenty of waste bags available to keep the park tidy. However, some users have noted that not all dog owners are diligent about clean-up, so be prepared to keep an eye on your furry friend. Adjacent playgrounds and grassy areas provide additional options for families looking for a place to picnic or take leisurely walks.

There’s a nice shady sand pit that adds to the park’s appeal, making it a great spot for both dogs and their humans to cool off and unwind. With hours running from 7 AM to 7 PM daily, there’s plenty of opportunity to visit this spacious park any time during the week.
