What People Are Saying

It's a little far from a place to park if ur not already out walking your dogs but other than that it has street lights so u can see at night, lots of area to run and has a double gate so ur dogs can't get out on the busy street

About Coffee Road Small Dog Park

Nestled in Bakersfield, Coffee Road Small Dog Park leaves much to be desired. While it offers a fenced area for small dogs, the park is often described as a drainage area with deep, muddy holes that can pose a hazard. Reviewers have noted a steep slope and uneven terrain that make it less than ideal for safe play. One visitor even lamented losing a ball to a hole, calling the park reminiscent of a miniature golf course gone wrong.

Parking can also be a hassle, as most dog owners must trek about 60 yards from the Valley Strong Credit Union parking lot to finally reach the park. Some users commented on the presence of thorns that can easily get stuck in your dog’s paws, creating an unwelcome chore of removing stickers after playtime. If you’re out for a leisurely walk, you might find it worth the trip, but it’s a bit of a trek for those just looking for a quick visit.

Despite its flaws, the park does have some redeeming features, including street lights for evening outings and a double gate system to keep dogs secure away from the busy road. If you’re in the area and already walking your dogs, it may provide a place for them to stretch their legs, but many have concluded that they won’t be returning anytime soon.
