Old Creek Dog Park in Cherryland is a welcoming spot for dog lovers, offering separate fenced areas for small and large dogs. With plenty of room for running and playing, it’s especially great for bigger breeds like my 100 lb Cane Corso and 80 lb Pitbull. The shaded spots and benches allow for comfortable breaks while your pup enjoys the outdoors. Just be prepared for some dust—many visitors, including myself, have noticed it gets pretty dirty, particularly after rain.

The park features nice amenities like water stations and ample seating, making it easy to relax while your dogs socialize. However, cleanliness could be improved as some areas have reported a lack of owner responsibility when it comes to picking up after their pets. It’s a peaceful setting, especially near the San Lorenzo Creek with its beautiful trees, but a little more tidiness would enhance the experience.

Parking is convenient, with both on-street options and a small lot nearby. While the dirt surface may not be ideal for everyone—especially on rainy days—it’s a cozy park where my dogs can enjoy some quality playtime. Overall, it’s a solid choice in Hayward for those looking to let their furry friends roam and play.
