This in a housing community, and is not fenced in. It is still a nice place to walk around but you cannot let dogs off leash here
Has not improved, no better than a regular lawn. The only positive point is it has dog bags available

About Southbay Townhome dog park

Nestled within the Southbay Townhomes community, this space offers a pleasant area for dog owners and their furry companions. However, it’s important to note that the lack of fencing means it’s not suitable for off-leash play; dogs must remain on a leash while exploring. Many visitors appreciate the cleanliness of the area, making it a nice spot for a leisurely stroll rather than a traditional park experience.

The park serves more as a private picnic area than a fully-fledged dog park, with the primary function being for residents of the townhomes. While some users have pointed out that it hasn’t improved much and feels like just another lawn, the presence of dog waste bags is a thoughtful addition for keeping the area tidy.

For those living in or visiting the neighborhood, the park’s proximity to various eateries makes it a convenient spot to stop before or after a meal. Just be sure to keep your pup leashed while enjoying this clean and maintained space in San Diego.
