What People Are Saying

Very clean park however it has very strong pee smell, the park is divided for big and small dogs based on their weight but both are too small, it has water for the dogs and persons, also they are some seats but on sunny days there is no shadow spot
My pup absolutely loves it here! When i ask her if she wants to go to the park, she gets super excited
It's a small park but has its benefits. (1.) Great park to start socializing your pup or if your pup is skittish

About Signal Hill Dog Park

Signal Hill Dog Park is a tidy little spot for small to medium-sized pups to socialize, but it’s definitely on the small side, which can be a drawback for bigger dogs looking to stretch their legs. Although the park is well-maintained with astroturf, it sadly tends to have a strong pee smell, and dirt patches throughout can surprise you. Parking is limited, so it’s best to arrive early.

While it offers separated areas for large and small dogs, many reviewers note that both sections are quite cramped, making it less than ideal for dogs who love to run freely. The park does have water stations for both pets and humans, but a few visitors have mentioned bringing their own water as the fountains can be less than inviting. The lack of shade on hot days is another concern, as the astroturf heats up quickly.

Despite its shortcomings, many local dog owners find value in the community vibe here. Responsible pet parents contribute to a friendly atmosphere, and it’s a great place to help shy pups come out of their shells. Just be prepared to do some cleanup, as not every owner picks up after their dogs. If you’re in Signal Hill and looking for a quick outing, this park is convenient, especially with a mall and Pet Co nearby.
