What People Are Saying

We go to this dog park occasionally. It works since it’s a large enclosed area but the stickers are a huge downside and sometimes it’s pretty overgrown
Would be great if there was more grass or less mud, but our puppy loves running around with the other dogs. I suppose that’s all that matters! Def recommend!

About Dog Park

This dog park offers a large enclosed area for dogs to roam freely, but not all visitors have been impressed. Many reviews highlight the presence of burrs and thistles, which can be painful for pups’ paws. A few regulars voiced concerns about the park’s maintenance, mentioning overgrown areas and debris that can pose hazards to playful dogs.

While some owners appreciate the space for their energetic pets, there are significant downsides to consider. Water availability seems inconsistent, so bringing your own supply is a smart move. Recent reports of a dumpster that hasn’t been emptied in months also add to the dissatisfaction, making it less appealing for dog owners looking for a pleasant outing.

Some users note that their dogs enjoy playing with others here, which is a major plus, despite the park’s shortcomings. However, if you’re looking for a well-kept facility, this one in Denver might not meet your expectations. It’s best for those who prioritize space for their pets over pristine conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the dog park in Denver fully fenced and safe for off-leash play?
Yes, the park is a large enclosed area, so dogs can run off-leash. That said, reviewers do mention overgrown patches, so keep an eye on your pup while they explore.
Are there burrs or stickers on the ground that could hurt my dog?
Unfortunately, yes — multiple visitors have flagged burrs and thistles as a real issue here. It's worth checking your dog's paws after a visit, especially if the grass is overgrown.
Is there water available at this Denver dog park?
Water availability has been inconsistent based on visitor reports, so it's a good idea to bring your own bowl and water just to be safe.
What are the hours for the dog park?
Hours aren't listed for this park at the moment — we'd recommend checking with Denver Parks & Recreation or visiting during daylight hours to be safe.
Is it usually muddy or is there grass to run on?
Reviewers mention the ground can get muddy and the grass coverage is inconsistent, so expect variable conditions depending on recent weather. It's more of a rugged, open space than a manicured lawn.
