What People Are Saying

Fence is too short for larger or athletic dogs that could easily jump out (maybe 3'), otherwise the park looks decent
I take my girl Sasha here every single afternoon, it's a necessity for her to have some time each day to run around freely and socialize with other dogs
My dog Scram and I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place

About Big Dry Creek Park-Dog PARK

Located in Westminster, Big Dry Creek Park offers a fairly decent space for dogs to run and play, especially for regular visitors like me and my pup. The fenced area has gravel footing, which makes for a unique setting, though the fence could be a bit of a concern for larger, more athletic dogs trying to jump over. While there’s a pavilion with some seating for shade, many reviewers have noted the lack of adequate shade structures and trash cans, leading to cleanliness issues at times.

The park has some agility equipment, but it’s seen better days, with reports of it being partially removed or poorly maintained. The water fountain has been out of service for months, leaving pet owners to bring their own water—something to keep in mind for a long visit. On the upside, the friendly community of regulars helps maintain the park’s atmosphere, and I’ve found that most dog owners are responsible about cleaning up after their pets.

While it’s a great spot for socializing both dogs and their humans, I’ve also encountered a few aggressive dogs during my visits. If you’re after expansive off-leash areas with stunning views, you might want to check out Westminster Hills Open Space, but for a convenient spot to let your dog play and engage with other pups, Big Dry Creek Park does the trick.
