This evening, my wife Kayla Cohen, a dedicated special education teacher in Norwalk, CT, and I embarked on a truly memorable journey with our beloved ESA companions, Ella and Thor, both adorable golden retrievers
It is a beautiful park that we are happy to have but I only gave it 3 stars because it is not well taken care of

About Eisenhower Dog Park

Eisenhower Dog Park in Milford offers a spacious retreat for dogs with its large fenced areas and ample room for running around. It features separate sections for big and small dogs, ensuring that every pup can enjoy playtime safely. While many appreciate the expansive grass areas, some visitors have noted that the park could benefit from additional shade as the young trees are still growing. Water stations are available for both four-legged and two-legged visitors, making it a convenient stop for an afternoon outing.

Despite its potential, the park does face some challenges. Reviews mention drainage issues that lead to flooding after heavy rain, and there have been concerns about litter and the overall cleanliness of the area. Broken furniture is often left piled up, and it’s common to find empty doggie doo bags, which can be frustrating for responsible dog owners. However, the welcoming atmosphere and friendly community of dog lovers keep many returning, including those who now bring their own seating.

For those who enjoy a little adventure, nearby walking trails provide a lovely change of scenery, and for dogs that love to swim, the park’s water features are a hit. Improvements such as well-maintained walking paths, benches, and public restrooms could elevate the experience even further. Overall, Eisenhower Dog Park is a beloved spot for local dog owners, where many create cherished memories alongside their pets.
