About Mother Waldron Neighborhood Dog Park

Tucked away on Pohukaina Street, Mother Waldron Neighborhood Dog Park offers a decent space for pups to socialize, especially for those with shy personalities. Many dog owners appreciate the safety of the fenced area, particularly in the evenings when familiar faces and well-mannered dogs gather around 6 pm. The shade from the trees is a welcome feature, but the lack of seating can make it tough for owners to relax while their dogs play.

While the park is spacious, some visitors have noted that maintenance could be improved. Weeds can sprout unexpectedly in certain sections, creating a less-than-ideal environment for free play. It’s worth bringing your own water and poo bags, as the park lacks these essential amenities. However, the vibrant murals do attract some attention from tourists, adding a bit of liveliness to the spot.

Parking is generally accessible, making it easy to swing by for a quick visit. Just be prepared for the occasional onlooker snapping photos while you and your pup enjoy the space. Overall, it’s a nice little park that could benefit from some upgrades, but it serves its purpose as a community gathering place for dog lovers in Honolulu.
