What People Are Saying

Very nice dog park! I rated this park as 4 stars because, as far as I know, there aren't any special amenities that really make it stand out (like Fred Anderson dog park in South Loop for example), but this park is super nice

There were about 20 dogs and my little Piper had a blast!

About Wiggly Field Dog Park

If you’re looking for a spacious dog park in Chicago, Wiggly Field Dog Park offers plenty of room for pups to stretch their legs. The park features grassy areas, slight hills, and even sandboxes, making it a fun environment for dogs. However, it’s worth noting that the ground is primarily asphalt and gravel, which might be tough on their paws. Expect a busy atmosphere, especially on weekends—your dog will have plenty of playmates, but make sure they’re comfortable in a crowded space.

This park also has a separate fenced section for smaller or anxious dogs, which is a welcome feature for those needing a quieter area. Most dog owners seem engaged, and there’s a general culture of cleanliness, with extra poop bags and water bowls available. While the L-train rumbling nearby can be a bit distracting, the overall energy is lively and friendly, making it a great spot for social pups.

Parking can be a challenge, especially during peak hours, so plan accordingly. With the park open from 6 AM to 11 PM daily, there’s ample time for you and your furry friend to enjoy the outdoors. Just remember to bring some water for your pup and keep a close watch, as the energy can get high with so many dogs around!
