What People Are Saying

1st time visit with Blossum. It was a good time but she was a little unsure about other dogs
We love going here!!! There are three runs- one very large run (well over an acre, maybe two or even more) for large dogs, another large-ish run for small dogs and a third run you can use if you're training or have a dog who loves the park but who is sometimes reactive
This dog park is awesome! Everyone here is super friendly, there are three different areas one for small, large, and another area with some logs for the dogs to climb

About Ferguson Dog Park

Ferguson Dog Park in Bloomington offers a spacious environment with three distinct areas tailored for dogs of all sizes. The large run spans well over an acre, perfect for big dogs to romp freely, while smaller pups have their dedicated zone to play safely. There’s even a third area designed for training or for dogs that may need some space. While the grass is generally well-maintained, it’s wise to come prepared with your own water bowl, especially for smaller dogs, as the park’s drinking fountain can be a bit shared.

Many visitors appreciate the friendly atmosphere and the dog-loving community that frequents the park. Having two bathing spots adds a nice touch for the warmer months, although it’s good to be cautious of other dogs’ behaviors, as some can be a bit overzealous. Despite the overall positive vibe, there are reports of some problematic interactions, like an aggressive dog that tends to cause concern among other patrons.

Parking is convenient, but it’s best to remain vigilant for those occasional “surprises” left by pets. While some visitors may have encountered difficult situations with certain dogs and their owners, the majority of feedback highlights the enjoyable experience of letting their furry friends socialize. If you plan to visit, knowing when to go and keeping an eye on interactions can help ensure a fun outing.
