What People Are Saying

Large dog park in the recreational area of Bonnie Ridge Apartments 🦮 It's difficult to maintain green grass where animals are constantly running over so I understand the mid-quality field 🍂 It's deep into the apartment complexes so I recommend knowing a resident 👥
Needs more grass to cover the muddy slipping When it rains, also could use some dirt or some thing to fill up the first dates gap as my puppy easily runs to go under and escape!
I love this place I have been here for four years good security for both adults ,,children and pets

About Bonnie Ridge Dog Park

Situated within the Bonnie Ridge Apartments in Pikesville, this dog park offers a sizable space for your furry friends to roam. Though some residents appreciate the park for its security and have enjoyed visiting for years, there’s a consensus that the grass struggles to thrive under constant dog traffic, resulting in muddy patches, especially after rain. Amenities like water stations are available, but users have suggested adding more grass and providing doggy poop bags for convenience.

While the park is generally safe, several reviews have raised red flags about the potential for escape through a gap in the fence, which has yet to be addressed. Navigating the park can be tricky for newcomers, as it’s tucked away and not easily accessible unless you know a resident. However, once you’re in, the area is spacious enough for both small and large dogs to enjoy some off-leash fun.

Parking may not be ideal, and the surroundings can feel rather stark, with chain-link fencing and minimal shade. Still, if you’re a local looking for a place for your pup to play, you’ll find a welcoming community of dog lovers at Bonnie Ridge, despite some of its shortcomings. Just keep an eye on your furry friend!

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Bonnie Ridge Dog Park fully fenced and safe for off-leash play?
The park is fenced, but some visitors have reported a gap in the fence that small dogs could potentially escape through. It's worth inspecting this area and keeping a close eye on your pup, especially if they're escape artists. Contact the park or a resident directly to confirm if this issue has been addressed.
What are the hours at Bonnie Ridge Dog Park in Pikesville?
Bonnie Ridge is open daily from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM, so you've got good morning and evening windows for a quick visit.
What amenities does the park have?
Water stations are available for your dogs. However, reviewers have noted that waste bag dispensers could be added, and shade is minimal in the area.
What's the ground like, and is it well-maintained?
The grass struggles to stay healthy under heavy dog traffic, so expect muddy patches—especially after rain. Reviewers acknowledge this is common in active dog parks, but it's something to be aware of when choosing footwear for your visit.
How do I access Bonnie Ridge Dog Park if I'm not a resident?
The park is located deep within the Bonnie Ridge Apartments complex, so it's not easily accessible without knowing a resident. If you're planning to visit, you'll need to arrange access with someone who lives there or check if the apartments have public access policies.
