It's not the worst dog park I've been to but the concrete/asphalt ground has several cracks and dangerous areas for the dogs, not to mention already being a very rough surface for dogs to run around on

About De Witt Clinton Dog Run

De Witt Clinton Dog Run offers a vibrant spot for furry friends in Hell’s Kitchen, though not without its quirks. The park features two separate areas for large and small dogs, allowing for safe playtime without the worry of size mismatches. However, the ground can be rough, with cracks that may pose a risk for more energetic pups. It’s best to keep an eye on your dog while they explore the concrete and asphalt surfaces.

Despite some maintenance issues, like a tricky gate and the need for surface repairs, the atmosphere is generally friendly and welcoming. Many dog owners appreciate the decent shade available during the hot summer months and the convenience of water hoses for hydration and play. Milo, a regular visitor, loves the chance to socialize with diverse canine companions, making it a beloved outing for him.

While the size of the park is on the smaller side, it does connect to a larger park area that can be explored, adding some appeal. Dog owners can enjoy a pleasant experience and make new friends, both human and canine alike. Plus, don’t forget to check out the nearby pet store, Spoiled Brats, which supports the local dog community and enhances the overall experience.
