What People Are Saying

I like this dog park. It's less than 15 minutes from my house, and there is a running and walk trail
Wish people would fill the holes their does dig
There is no place to park on site, and a lock code for entry, for Lake Carolina residents only. It was empty when I was here after work. My dog had a great time though

About Lake Carolina Dog Park

Lake Carolina Dog Park in Elgin offers a well-kept space for dogs to romp and socialize, though access comes with a few caveats. As a private park, it requires a permit for entry, which can be a hassle for newcomers not aware of the protocol. Once you’re in, you’ll discover a clean environment with separate areas for small and large dogs, making it easier to find playmates of the right size.

Accessible via a short walk from the parking lot at the nearby school, this park features a running and walking trail that complements the dog area. While some visitors have noted that the fences separating the dog zones could use maintenance, the overall layout is functional. Dog relief bags are provided along the trail, though some users have pointed out the need for better etiquette regarding hole filling and communal water bowls to prevent possible health issues.

If you’re a Lake Carolina resident, this park can be a great spot to let your dog explore and meet others, especially during off-peak hours. Just keep in mind the need for a permit and the parking situation; it’s worth the visit if you’re prepared!
