What People Are Saying

Good location for us. There are 2 sections, not very large areas so it can get crowded at times, only 1 is open at a time, either a walking loop with grass in the middle or with bark
Great to come to, but small. There are two parts of this place that are blocked off by a fence in the middle for alternating usage
Just like others have said, the nice grassy taken care of area is blocked off

About Sandy City Dog Park

Just off 300 E in Sandy, this dog park has two fenced sections that encourage friendly play, though they can feel a bit cramped during busy hours. The grass and bark areas are well-maintained, and you’ll find a small walking loop for those who prefer a leisurely stroll with their pup. While the setup allows for alternating usage, coming early on weekdays or waiting until later on weekends helps avoid the rush.

The park is equipped with plenty of seating for pet owners, making it easy to relax while your furry friend makes new pals. Parking can get tight, but you’re often able to find spots if you keep an eye out. There’s also on-street parking nearby. Keep in mind that the water stations are currently off, so bringing your own water is a good idea, especially during the hotter months.

Dogs of all sizes seem to play well together, and owners are generally quick to intervene during any scuffles. While it’s mostly a clean space, the evening crowd sometimes forgets to pick up after their pets, so bring a flashlight if you plan to visit after dark. Overall, this park is a great option for local dog owners looking for a place to let their dogs run free and socialize.
